Skill Certifications

With the development of a new skills system in Oman through the approval of the industry Sector's skills Unit establishment, and the need to address the implementation of a Skills Assessment System to complement the National Occupational Standards (NOS) in order to provide the industry with the required trained and skilled people. The overall purpose of the skill certification scheme is to recognise an individual's competence to perform a task or job, ensure a competent workforce, and improved workplace safety, which results in improved public safety. It can also ensure the recruitment of the right calibres in each and every occupation and decrease the recruitment costs by selecting only the right people.
